There are times when we read a familiar passage and things never before seen become so obvious. I had just such a time while reading Exodus 13-14. Israel has just experienced their first Passover and Pharaoh has let them go, FINALLY.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matt. 5:6

That’s the verse that our church is learning for the year and while it is short, it is chocked full of nuggets. We’ve all heard it many times as part of the Beatitudes. A simple verse, but what does it mean?

Heartbroken.  That was the day in December that we had to put our precious Boo kitty down so very unexpectedly.  We THOUGHT we were taking her to the vet for gum problems and they’d “fix” her and we’d bring her home.

Standing there quietly, staring, many thoughts go through my mind.  Thoughts of what was, what great memories I have, and so much love, oh, so much love!
